Hilton Garden Inn New York/Tribeca

When I checked in, it was a Hilton. When I checked out, it was AMTD Idea TriBeCa Hotel. I had no idea that was going to happen before arriving, but everything was seamless. The one elevator in service is slower than molasses and pretty small. The bathroom door feels like a bank vault.

Just stayed here overnight. PROS: The location is fantastic for what we needed. The sub-station was steps away. Restaurants close by. Not too noisy, busy but not noisy. Rooms were clean, staff pleasant and helpful. CONS: The restaurant downstairs...the hostess/waitress was the absolute WORST! I have never been more compelled to get up and leave an establishment before. She was the most unprofessional employee I have ever encountered. Her tone and verbiage let us know that she did not want to serve us. I can't speak on the quality of the food as we left before it was served.

Great room and friendly service. The maid service was always around our rest times (3pm) ish so we didn’t make use of that but overall lovely.

I just wanted to say that I called the front desk very late in the day to see if they could do something special for a business traveler's birthday. The woman at the front desk (I wish I got her name!) went above and beyond and send the most perfect piece of Milkbar cake to her room. It was perfect and just made her day. I am so grateful for the awesome service and kindness of this employee. Thanks for going above and beyond! A + service.

This hotel was very conveniently located right by a subway station, making it easy to get around the city. The area felt safe and was in a nice neighborhood. I also appreciated the security measures — the doors were locked and required key access, which made me feel very secure during my stay. The only downside was the elevators, which were a bit slow and inconvenient at times. Overall, though, it was a comfortable and well-located place to stay

Great location, right on subway. Room heating was broken, it was either too hot, or too cold. Room keys stopped working and took two times going back down to front desk to fix. One of two elevators was out of service. Higher than usual city noise, emergency vehicles and just honking.

The staff is welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. Check-in and check-out are smooth and efficient. The overall atmosphere of the hotel feels calm and secure, which is a big plus in such a busy city. There’s also a restaurant and bar on-site, convenient for breakfast or a quick evening meal. Everything is well organized, and the service reflects Hilton’s reliable standards. If you’re visiting New York and want comfort, convenience, and great value in a prime location, Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca is a smart and dependable option. Highly recommended

I have not stayed this far downtown before and was unsure about the hotel given some of the reviews but I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was large and clean; some people have said theirs were outdated but I was comfortable. The only issue of note was a torn shower curtain for which I would only give a half star off if I was able; if we had asked I'm sure housekeeping would have replaced it. The bed and linens were very comfortable and we sprung for a view of the neighborhood which was great for people watching. There was only one elevator in operation during our stay though I didn't find it as slow as others had described, we had a worse experience at the midtown location. The hotel is easy enough to get to from Grand Central via the subway, though you will have to walk a few blocks on either end depending on what line you take. Having the ACE station right outside the hotel was fantastic and will have you in midtown within 15 minutes. Chinatown and little Italy were only a short walk away. We didn't interact with staff much but they were always friendly, while we were there they put out a free hot chocolate bar and held our bags for several hours after checkout without issue. 9.5 / 10 would recommend and stay here again :)
